Administration

Dr. Mike Papadimitriou currently serves as the Headmaster of the Academy for Science and Health Professions in Conroe ISD. As an educator with 33 years of experience, he has served as a chemistry, physics, geology and environmental science teacher; a department chair; an assistant principal; and principal. He has been Headmaster at ASHP since 2008.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in biopsychology and Master’s degree in school administration and instructional supervision, along with specialist and doctoral degrees in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in science education. In addition he is a graduate of the Raise Your Hand Texas – Harvard University Leadership Program.

Mike is licensed as a superintendent, principal, instructional supervisor and teacher in the states of Texas and Louisiana. In addition, he holds faculty appointments at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson School of Health Professions and the University of St. Thomas School of Education and Human Services. He is the author of numerous publications and a book in the areas of gender issues in science education and student internship programs.

Mike is married to Dr. Donna Papadimitriou, and they have two children, Jenna and Abbey. When not working, Mike enjoys reading, writing, exercising and spending time with his family.
